In 1990, a group of dedicated individuals founded Jeriko Khualbuk, a center in Mizoram offering hope and refuge to women struggling with addiction. Named "New Life Home Society," the center currently boasts 15 beds and a dedicated staff of 15, serving not only Mizoram but also neighboring states. Funded by the Indian Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Jeriko Khualbuk has empowered countless young women and girls on their journey towards recovery since its inception.
Detoxification: Detoxification is a must at the time of admission of the client. The clients often come to the centre with heavy doses of drugs. The Detoxification period lasts usually 7 to 8 days depending on the types of drugs used.
Abscess Management: Some of the clients come with severe abscesses. It is an expensive treatment that requires a longer period of time. The abscesses are caused due to intravenous drug use.
